What were the key ideas of the UN charter?
-Maintenance of international peace and security
-Prevention of aggression
-Peaceful settlements of international disputes

Why were Britain criticised in the UN Charter?
-For still maintaining an Empire
-This was seen as hypocritical of Britain as it didn’t comply with the idea of human rights for all
Why did Britain usually use their veto?
-In an attempt to change imperialistic views

-The first was during the 1956 Suez Crisis
-Along with from 1963-1973 where they were accused of White supremacy in Rhodesia
