Q

DNA Replication

A
  1. Helicase unwinds and separates strands.
  2. DNA Gyrase controls expression by supercooling DNA
  3. Single Strand binding proteins (SSBB) stabilizes separated DNA so it doesn’t fold or mutate
  4. DNA primase - builds RNA primer at 5’ end of new strand
  5. DNA polymerase 3 ads DNA nucleotides to primer and continues the process of elongation
  6. DNA polymerase 1 - removes primary and replaces with DNA nucleotides.
  7. Ligament connects Okazaki fragments
