What is a tall organisational structure?
When there are more layers of levels of the employees in a business
What is an organisational structure?
It is something referring to the levels of management and division of responsibilities within an organisation
What is a wide organisational structure?
When there are more people directly under control by a certain person.
Why is a short chain of command good?
Communication quicker and more accurate, span of control wider, top managers knows lower levels of hierarchy better
What is the role of a manager?
Plan the future for organisation, organising, coordinating with other, commanding employees, controlling their staffs
What are the 3 styles of leadership?
Autocratic (decision made by manager), democratic (employees involved in decision making) and laissez-faire (employees makes own decision)
What is a trade union?
Group of workers joined together to ensure their interests are protected. They can force upon better working conditions or wages, for example.
