Distance
The total length covered by a moving object regardless of the direction of motion.
Displacement
The distance measured in a straight line from a fixed reference point.
Speed

Velocity

The rate of change in displacement
velocity = displacement/time taken
Acceleration

The rate of change of velocity.
acceleration = change of velocity/time taken
Free Fall
An object is said to be in free fall if the only force acting on it is the weight (no air resistance)
Object free falling experiences uniform acceleration
Regardless of mass, velocity increases at a uniform rate.
Acceleration due to gravity, g=10m/s^2
