Where complications arise
Climax
usually a turning point
Falling action
conflicts begin moving towards resolution
Resolution
end of the story conflicts are tied up
Foreshadow
Hints or clues suggesting what could happen in a story
Cliffhanger
An ending to a section leaving the reader wondering
Suspense
The anxiety a reader feels about what happens in a story next
Flashback
An interuption in the plot to recreate an incident from an earlier time
