A
Nitroarenes are reduced to produce an amine
- reducing agent: conc HCl and tin
- under reflux at 100•c

A
Ammonia reacts with haloalkane to make ammonium salt
Additional ammonia molecule reacts to form propylamine and ammonium chloride salt

How do u name secondary amides?
A
- Carbon chain/ alkyl chain attached to N comes first hence eg. N-ethylethanamide
- other chain comes next
- suffix is amide
