Q

What is Positive interdependence and Superordinate Goals? RCT

A

Positive interdependence and superordinate goals are used to reduce prejudice. Sherif argued that prejudice arising from Intergroup conflict can be reduced through groups working cooperatively to achieve a common goal.

- Positive interdependence : when neither groups can reach their goal unless the other group reaches theirs too.
- Superordinate goals : goals that can only be achieved through coordination.
