Mary is a daughter because she is also a like any of us, “being of the race of Adam yet redeemed by Christ in a more exalted fashion” and as a believing disciple of Jesus, Mary is a “daughter of the Church, and our sister as well”. Mary represents God’s model of faith/favorites for her faithfulness and obedience to the Father
