If our Laplace doesn’t factor what should we do?
-Complete the square
Whats the inverse Laplace?
-Linear
The Laplace ROC: What does the y axis equate to?
-Fourier tranform(omega)
If a signal goes on forever and ever (Exponentially growing)?
-Its going to have infinite energy, thus it doesn’t have a Fourier transform.
Hence, we can’t represent it by summations of cosine and sine waves. This is where we use the Laplace transform
How can we describe the Laplace transform?
-Its basically a formation which causes a weighted Fourier transform (involves the Fourier transform)
What does u(-t) mean for Laplace transform graph?
The Laplace transform is lefted
Fins the transfer function?
H(s) = Y(s)/X(s)
For partial fractions what do we do when we have a squared bracket on the bottom?
B(s+1)^2 A(s+1)
What do the poles have to be in order to be stable?
For a system to be stable, all poles have to be negative
If we have an unknown on the numerator, how can we find this value?
Look at the input function and what the s is equal to in that function and whether we can substitute the value for s into there
