Q
Genetic Diversity
A
Genetic diversity is the total of all the genetic characteristics in the genetic makeup of a species. It is dependent on genetic variability, the tendency of individual genetic traits in a population to vary. Species that have a greater degree of genetic diversity have a greater potential to adapt and survive.
