5. IP vs BB Flashcards
How do open raising ranges differ per stake?
On lower stakes we can raise wider, especially in late position because opponents under-defend their bb.
How does playing deep stacked affect opening ranges?
We can open a little bit wider and hands with a lot of nut potential (like A5s, 45s) go up in value, while a hand like KTo goes down in value.
How does playing short stacked affect opening ranges?
We have to open a bit tighter. Hands that can flop decent top pairs go up in value.
What boards do we c-bet a depolarized range?
On boards that are either good for IP or that don’t hit either player.
How do c-betting strategies shift on EP v BB compared to BTN v BB?
Due to both ranges being stronger in the EP v BB scenario, we can’t bet 1/3th as often compared to BTN v BB.
What does our c-bettin strategy look like on a K43r texture, BTN v BB?
We bet ~full range for 1/3 sizing.

We bet AT 100%, but the more we go down in kicker, to less we bet it. T6s is just betted at 12% frequency.

What would a c-betting strategy look like on T♦9♥4♦ with 3-straight hands like TT?
[BTN v BB]
We bet it at a mid-high to high frequency, but we do have to check it from time to time (20%). Fun fact: 99 bets 100% of the time and has a higher EV because it unblocks villains top-pair region.

[BTN v BB]
A hand like J5s gets bluffed at a mid-high to high frequency because we want to have a bunch of bluffs on a Q turn for instance.
