A
- Get sideways by turning your feet, body and racquet
- Move to proper location with balance
- Before the ball bounces on your side

Set-up Serve…
A
- Stand sideways behind the baseline
- Get into “trophy position” before ball comes down
- Toss the ball up and in front (1 o’clock)

Set-up Volley…
A
- Step out (w/ right foot if ball comes to BH, and with left foot if ball comes to FH)
- Prepare the racquet just behind the impact point (by making a slight shoulder turn on BH and a sideways turn on FH side)
- On BH side, hold and prepare the racquet with NON-dominant hand
- Prepare BEFORE the oncoming ball crosses the net
- Ensure step/catch/step ???

Hitting Zone Groundstrokes…
A
- Extend the racquet face towards the target for as long as possible
- Maintain a stable and laid back wrist at contact

Hitting Zone Serve…
A
- ‘Throw’ the racquet face up at the ball and towards the target (show throwing motion too)
- Use shoulder rotation and forearm pronation (rotate forearm outward)

Hitting Zone Volley…
A
- Create and maintain a ‘catching’ action to ensure the racquet faces the target before and after hitting the ball
- Keep a stable racquet face before and after hitting the ball

A
FH: 3rd bevel for forehand (eastern grip)
BH: (1 Hand) Continental
(2 Hand) Bottom hand = Continental grip
-Top hand = Eastern grip
