Anvendelsen av lovvalgsregler må skje med den reservasjon at dersom en evt utenlandsk rettsregel fører til et resultat som blir for støtende ifht den nasjonale rettstradisjon, vil den ikke kunne gjøres gjeldende.
Motstrid med preseptoriske lovregler er ikke nok, det må kreves at resultatet vil være i sterk motstrid med våre politiske, sosiale og økonomiske grunnverdier.
