ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOR
anti-social behaviour act 2003
Behaviour by a person that causes or is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to one or more persons not of the same household
ASSAULT
s39, s47, s20, s18
Any act that intentionally or recklessly causes another to apprehend immediate unlawful personal violence
BURGLARY 9(1)(a)
Any person who enters a building or part of a building, as a trespasser, with the intent to steal, inflict GBH, damage property
BURGLARY 9(1)(b)
Any person who having entered a building or part of a building as a trespasser, steals or inflicts GBH
AGGRAVATED BURGLARY
Any person who commits burglary 9(1)(a) or 9(1)(b), and at the time of doing so, has with them a Weapon of offence, Imitation firearm, Firearm, Explosive
BREACH OF PEACE
Whenever and wherever harm is actually done or is likely to be done to a person, or to a person’s property, in that person’s presence, or a person is in fear of being harmed.
CRIMINAL ATTEMPTS
A person does an act that is more than merely preparatory to the commission of the offence, then they are guilty of attempting to commit the offence
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A person commits an offence who without lawful excuse, destroys or damages any property belonging to another, intending to destroy or damage such property or being reckless as to whether any such property would be destroyed or damaged
CRIMINAL DAMAGE ENDANGERING LIFE
A person commits an offence who without lawful excuse, destroys or damages any property belonging to another, intending to destroy or damage such property or being reckless as to whether any such property would be destroyed or damaged AND intending by the destruction or damage to endanger the life of another or being reckless as to whether the life of another would be dangerous
THEFT
Dishonestly appropriate property, belonging to another, with the intention to permanently deprive the other of it
ABSTRACTING ELECTRICITY
A person who dishonestly uses, without due authority or dishonestly causes to be wasted or diverted, any electricity from any source, shall commit an offence
ROBBERY
Steals and immediately before doing so, or at the time of doing so and in order to do so, uses force on any person or seeks to put any person in fear of being then and there subjected to force
HANDLING STOLEN GOODS
A person handles stolen goods if, otherwise than in the course of stealing, knowing or believing them to be stolen goods, dishonestly receives the goods, or dishonestly undertakes in their retention, removal, realisation or disposal, by or for the benefit of another, or if he arranges to do any of the above
GOING EQUIPPED FOR THEFT/ BURGLARY
When not at their place of abode, has with them any article for use in the course of, or in connection with any burglary or theft
FOUND ON ENCLOSED
Every person being found in or upon any dwelling/ house, warehouse, coach house, stable, outhouse or in any enclosed yard, or garden or area for an unlawful purpose
POSSESSION OF OFFENSIVE WEAPON
Any person, without lawful authority or reasonable excuse to have with them, in any public place an offensive weapon
(note: now illegal in PRIVATE PLACE for weapons on offensive weapons order, CJA 1988)
“OFFENSIVE WEAPON”
Any article made or adapted for causing injury or intended by the person having it with themselves or some other person
BLADED/POINTED ARTICLES
Any person who has with them any article which has a blade or is sharply pointed in a public place without good reason or lawful authority commits an offence
(note: now illegal in PRIVATE PLACE for weapons on offensive weapons order, CJA 1988)
FRAUD
A person is guilty of an offence if they are in breach of any of the sections listed in section 1 Fraud Act, which provide different ways of commiting the offence:
Sec 2: Fraud by false representation
Sec 3: Fraud by failing to disclose information
Sec 4: Fraud by abuse of position
MAKING OFF WITHOUT PAYMENT
It is an offence for a person who knowing that payment on the spot for any goods supplied or service done is required or expected from him, dishonestly makes off without having paid as required or expected and does so with intent to avoid payments of the amount due
PUBLIC ORDER
Disruptive behaviour that deprives others of the peace
s5: Harrassment, alarm, distress

s2: Violent disorder
s1: Riot
DRUNK AND DISORDERLY
It is an offence for any person, whilst drunk in a public place, to be guilty of disorderly behaviour
POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED DRUG
A person who has possession of a controlled drug (A,B or C) without lawful authority and has knowledge that he/she has the substance, commits an offence of unlawful possession
SUPPLY OF A CONTROLLED DRUG
A person who unlawfully supplies or is concerned with the supply to another, or offers to supply, or is concerned in the making of an offer of a controlled drug, is guilty of supplying a controlled drug
