Outline nursing principles of management for post resuscitation BSL monitoring

A
  • NBM during initial post resus care
  • Insert PIVC or UVC
  • Perform BSL within 1 hour
  • Confirm with true blood glucose but do not wait for results to initiate treatment
  • 10% glucose infusion at 4-6mg/kg/min
