Inspection Methods and Standards Manual
The publication mentioned in question four contains certain information that is used during an inspection process. Identify the five (5) information categories that are included in this manual.

- specific components requiring inspection
- general reasons to reject (fail) a component under test
- specific criteria that cause a vehicle to be placed Out of Service.
Identify the two (2) things an inspection technician must do in the event that a vehicle fails a regularly scheduled inspection.
- refuse to issue an inspection certificate and decal for that vehicle
- notify the person who presented the vehicle for the inspection, of the failure of the vehicle to pass the inspection.
The contents of the Inspection Methods and Standards Manual are permanently fixed in the manual. No changes are allowed in order to maintain the consistency of the inspection process.
