Define Poststructuralism (2 points)
1- The view that there are no transcendent values in history or government.
2- Persons have value and rights based on the groups they identify with (Identity Politics) not as individuals.
Define Modernism
The examination of historical events and persons based on today’s standards thus separating history from its context and setting.
Define Academic Collectivism
The almost exclusive reliance by experts on peer-review as the standard for historical truth by quoting from each other rather than consulting original sources.
Define Deconstructionism
The attempt to destroy the foundations of Western culture by a steady flow of negatives about its institutions, beliefs, and values.
