[4] The Battle Of Britian Flashcards
1
Q
Explain why the Battle of Britain was so important.
A
The German bombing became so commonplace that the population became used to the routine of night raids and it bred a sense of community and solidarity among the British people which many called the ‘spirit of the Blitz.’ This was the very opposite of the German objective of breaking their morale. This was a turning point in the war as it gave the allies the advantage and spirit and made the Germans rethink their Ariel Attack Strategies.
