Q

Some populations can be confusing….

A

In unitary organisms, each individual is produced directly from a zygote.

Form and development of individuals is highly predictable.
Eg mammals, birds, amphibians, insects. - all dogs have 4 legs, all squids have 2 eyes etc

How about in modular organisms? What is a modular organism?
the zygote devleops into a unit of constrction or a module that gives rise to further modules to form a branching structure
eg- grass, coral reefs, trees - variable,

Are modular organisms plants, animals, or both?
