What is God’s work of creation?
God making all things out of nothing, by the word of his power, in the space of six days and all very good.
What is providence?
Preserving and governing all his creations and all their actions.
What does God require of man?
Obedience to his revealed will
How did God create human beings?
God created man male and female, after his own image, in knowledge, righteousness and holiness, with dominion over the creatures.
How can original sin be reconciled to the canons of justice, either human or divine?
Original sin is not only reconcilable with the perfect justice of God, his justice requires it. Adam was a head of mankind.
Does a believer have free will? Include Scripture
Yes, Romans 6:18 “You have been set free from sin and have becomes slaves to righteousness.”
Union of God and Man in Christ

He will save his people from their sins.

Messiah, anointed one of God.

Jesus unique reality as the second member of the Trinity.

Active Obedience of Christ
The active obedience refers to His whole life of obeying the Law of God whereby He qualifies to be the Savior. He qualifies to be the Lamb without blemish.
Passive Obedience of Christ
The passive obedience of Christ refers to His willingness to submit to the pain that is inflicted upon Him by the Father on the cross in the atonement. He passively receives the curse of God there.
Define Expiation
atonement for sins through the death of Christ on the cross as the sacrifice once and for all
Define Propitiation
turn away/satisfy God’s wrath

Restoring alienated people back into fellowship with God

To buy back at a price
Define Imputation
To charge to one’s account. Christ’s righteousness is imputed to believers.
Can anyone not called by the Spirit be saved?
No. Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me Lord, Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and your name drive our demons and perform many miracles? Then I will tell them plainly. I never knew you.
