What are the procedures for vacating the ALT Armory assuming you are the last to exit and the Armory will be unoccupied?
Ensure all weapons rack, equipment lockers, keys, and the door are secured.
-Activate alarm
-if alarm will not activate, recheck the door
-If the alarm will not activate after 3 attempts notify BDOC and the Armory NCOIC/Assistant.
-If they can’t set the alarm notify Alarm Maintenance.
What are the procedures if the alarm will not activate when vacating the Main Armory?
Pre check the windows, doors, and motion sensors to ensure all circuits are closed
-If alarm will not activate after 3 attempts notify BDOC and Armory NCOIC/Assistant
-If they cannot set the alarm, Alarm maintenance will be notified
Where are 40MM explosives stored?
Munitions Storage Area BLDG 6718
What must be inspected before individuals can enter/exit the Armory
Hand carried items
Where are the keys to alternate armory located?
In a sealed key box at gate three
Another set is located in a GSA approved class 5 safe at the Kennels
What is required before leaving the armory unattended?
Ensure weapon racks are locked, keys and armory doors are secured, and the intrusion detection system is activated. Armorer will carry a portable radio to maintain contact with BDOC and respond back to the armory upon notification.
Who do you contact if an unauthorized individual attempts to gain entry to the armory?
BDOC and Armory NCOIC
How do you conduct changeover?
Conduct a physical count of all the weapons, ammunitions, equipment, and keys
Verify serial number and conditions of seals
Differences in quantities/serial numbers must be accounted for by off – going armory
When can off going armor be relieved of duty?
Once joint inventory is completed
All lockers are sealed
All paperwork is signed
All keys are accounted for
What is the emergency fire reaction plan?
– Immediately notify BDOC and activate the fire alarm.
– Attempt to control the fire by utilizing all available fire extinguishers
– If a potential major fire exist inside the armory, evacuate all nonessential personnel from the area and notify BDOC for evacuation of BLDG 3501
– Attempt to obtain copies of AF2047 munitions container, inventories while exiting
What is controlled through the flight arming/duty roster?
Access to GOWs and munitions
What must be turned in before any AF form 629/1297s are returned to the individual?
– All weapons
– Secondary use of force tools
