Once data is put on a computer, it can easily be copied or shared. In some cases, people have a right to choice in this matter.
What does the Data Protection Act 2018 do?
Controls how your information is used
What does the Computer Misuse Act 1990 do?
Governs the way that individuals can lawfully access data on a machine
What does the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 do?
Governs the way that individuals can lawfully access data on a machine
What does the Freedom of Information Act 2000 do?
Provides public access to information held by public authorities
What does the Telecommunications Act 1984 do?
Allows any secretary of State to give secret directions to Ofcom or any providers of public electronic communications networks.
What is AI?
Artificial Intelligence - The ability of a computer or a robot controlled by computer to do tasks that are usually done by a humans because they require human intelligence and discernment.
What does culture mean?
‘Culture’ means ‘relating to the ideas, customs, and social behaviour behaviour of a society’
What do we mean by the digital divide?
As a society, we are eager to take advantage of information technology to improve our lives, but we risk leaving some members of our communities behind.
