Q

Why are house prices so expensive in Mumbai?

A

Because of its location - As it is a peninsula bound by the Arabian Sea, there isn’t much scope for expansion or land development in the city as it is surrounded by water on three sides. This means that development has never been circular, but has been linear from the south towards the northern suburbs. This limited supply creates a higher demand, which causes prices to rocket!
