Work done is the magnitude of force multiplied by the distance travelled in the direction of the force.
One Joule is the energy required to move one newton through one metre distance.

State the principle of conservation of energy.
A
The phenomenon that energy of a closed system cannot be created or destroyed.
Energy can only be transferred, through conservation, into different energy forms.
