What is the BSI?
The British Standards Institute.
What does the BSI do and what does that assure?
Works with big groups across the world to product a set of standards which assures products are well produced, safe a fit for purpose.
What is a standard and what do they do?
A published document that shows an agreed way of doing something.
What does the BSI kitemark look like?

How do companies receive permission to display the BSI kitemark on their products?
They can pay to have their products tested against the standards and if they pass they can display the kitemark on the product. Companies registered with BSI are subject to ongoing testing.
What does WEEE directive stand for?
Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment directive.
What is the WEEE directive symbol?
A crossed through wheelie bin.
