A

The two-source theory for the synoptic gospels is the idea that the interrelated nature of the Synoptic Gospel’s was caused by the consultation of two sources during the writing of the gospels of Matthew and Luke. These sources are widely believed to be the Gospel of Mark itself (this is known as ‘Marcan priority’ and a hypothetical source termed ‘Q’
