An address used to access web servers and the resources hosted on them
What does DNS stand for?

What is a DNS used for?
Used to translate website domain names into an IP address, so you can use the names for websites without remembering the IP address
What is the function of domain name servers
Domain name swervers store IP addresses and matching domain names
What is meant by “hosting”?
Where a business uses its servers to store files of another organisation.
What is cloud computing?
The delivery of computing services over the internet, or “the cloud”. These services include storage, servers, software, networking, databases and analytics
What is a “freemium” model?
Where providers allow customers to try some parts of a service for free, but with the option to pay to upgrade for full “premium” service
