What is an Artboard in Illustrator?
The printable area of your page within Illustrator in which you design your art. You can have many artboards, which have adjustable properties.
What does Bleed refer to in printing?
The amount of artwork that falls outside of the printing bounding box that gives the printer a small amount of space to account for movement of the paper and design inconsistency.
What is the Menus Bar?
Gives you access to a wide range of functions and extra commands, including file, edit, object, type, selected, effect, view, and window.
What is a Collapsed Panel Bar?
A series of useful panels which provide extra functionality and give you quick access to many tools that make modifying artwork easier.
What are Panels in Illustrator?
A group of related commands and options.
What is the Toolbar?
Contains tools for creating and editing images, artwork, page elements, and more. Related tools are grouped together.
What does the Control Panel display?
Displayed options for the currently selected tool.
What is the Properties Panel?
This will change based on the tool you have selected, which gives you a variety of useful options and commands.
What is the Libraries Panel used for?
Allows the user to store different elements that can be easily accessible across other projects.
What does the Document Window display?
Displays the file you are working on. Document windows can be tabbed and, in some cases, grouped and docked.
What is a Workspace in Illustrator?
The user interface of the software with specific panels, bars, and windows which can be adapted and saved for future use; the defaults are essentials.
