tenant
someone who pays rent so that they use a property or land
tyrant
1 a cruel and oppressive ruler:
the tyrant was deposed by popular demonstrations.
▪ a person exercising power or control in a cruel, unreasonable, or arbitrary way:
her father was a tyrant and a bully.
▪ (especially in ancient Greece) a ruler who seized absolute power without legal right.
prosperous
- Having success; flourishing: a prosperous new business.
- Well-to-do; well-off: a prosperous family.
- Propitious; favorable: a prosperous moment to make a decision.
perceive
a. To become aware of (something) directly through any of the senses, especially sight or hearing: We could perceive three figures in the fog.
b. To cause or allow the mind to become aware of (a stimulus): The ear perceives sounds.
2. To achieve understanding of; apprehend: Einstein perceived that energy and matter are equivalent.
