- Lawyers discouraged as winner can’t recover cost of solicitor etc
- likely to be heard by district judge
- quick court to deal with minor civil cases

A
- claims no more than 25k
- strict timetable so cases heard within 30 weeks of being received by court
- high value claims
- lawyers allowed
- fast track overall reduces waiting time by counsel (barristers)

Multi Track
A
- claims more than 25k
- high court with judge in high court
- most formal of the tracks + insists judge has a hands on approach
- judge controls timetable and gathers evidence for claim
- ADR still encouraged
-trial date strictly enforced within 72 weeks
