Why were Pharisees not men of God ?
They wanted to justify themselves and over define things to identify what they didn’t have to obey.

Implying they were going the wrong way, because The way to heaven is through Jerusalem.
Why was the passage about the good Samaritan was a slap in the face to the Jews ?
Samaritans were hated even more, because they were half breeds, intermarried with the Assyrians during the exile and became known as the Samaritans.

Jesus approves of this person because of his heart to obey regardless of his ethnicity
