- This whole procedure took place in a large cage, which the monkeys explored

One limitation of using animal studies to study attachment in humans, is that the animals used in these studies and humans are both phsiologically and psychologically different
The human brain is more complex, meaning that human attachments are likely to be more complex, meaning the results cannot be generalised
