Who must hold a ATP certificate?
All required flight crew
When should the Pilot in command hold a rating issued under 14 CFR part 61?
When an aircraft weighs over 12,500 pound or turbo jet powered
When can an ATP certificate holder give instruction. And max time allowed.
In air transport service he may instruct.
No more than 36 in a 7 day period and no more than 8 hours a day
What to do if medical or Pilot certificate is lost.
They can request the FAA to fax it to them. Only last 60 days
If Pilot certificate holder is convicted with a DUI what must they do and by when?
Must report to the FAA civil aviation security division within 60 days
What is a crew member. Who does this include?
A person assigned to duty the aircraft during flight.
Pilots, flight engineers, navigators, flight attendance.
Who would be considered a flight crew member?
Pilot, flight engineers or navigators
What is the 65 rule?
Once you reach age 65 you cannot Pilot a commercial airline. Can do positions such as flight engineer or navigator
To exercise ATP privileges what is the time frame of holding a medical certificate?
12 months under the age of 40. 6 months over the age of 40.
What class medical is needed to exercise commercial pilot privileges?
1st or 2nd
What class of medical is needed to take a practical test in an aircraft?
3rd class
