Towing Procedures
Tie heaving line to mooring line using the clip. connected mooring line to towing line using a double becket bend. Show the coxswain the knot and let him know you are ready on deck. Give instructions to the people on the other boat about what to do . Give good reports. Make round turn then a working turn around the tow bit.

What is heat exaustion?

What is team coordination training?

What are the causes of shock?
- Causes; trauma, allergic reactions, hypothermia, drugs toxins hear attack illnesses such as diabetes, emotional
- Symptoms - Restlessness, fainting, thirst, nausea, weakness, anxiousness, fright, dizziness
- Signs; Weak and rapid pulse, shallow rapid breathin, cold clammy skin, dialated pupils
- Treatment; Limit Patient’s activitiy, if the face is red(elevate head), if the face is pale(elevate tail)
What are the actions of the Tow Watch?
- Report any unusual conditions, equipment failure, or problems to the coxswain immedietly
- In Step - the proper distance between the towed boat and the towing boat to maintain control and prevent braking the towling
- Listing - The static, fixed inclination or learning of a ship to port or starboard due to an unbalance of weight
- Yawing; Disabled boat veers from side to side to the other which may cause one or both boats to capsize
- Taking on water, chaffing gear in place, deck hardware failure to stress
What are the symptoms of shock?

Check if coxswain inputs correspond to movements at the engine throttle arm.
Check throttle arm on the engine for damage.
Check the throttle connections on the gearshift and throttle control levers at the port console.
Check for blown fuses on the engine.
Engine Fire
If possible, secure the fuel to the engines by closing off the fuel shutoff valves in the lazarette on the aft deck.
Asses damage to the engine
Combat fire using an extinguisher.
