Council for Aboriginal Affairs was established. The first MInister was W.C. Wentworth (not the Aboriginal people) in February 1968.
What changes did the Australian Government make?
Introduction of positive discrimination.
Programs designed to address the needs of Aboriginal peoples are started.
Enactment of the Aboriginal and Torres Straitt Islanders Act 1975 (after 8 years)
