What is the 1st amendment?
Freedom of expression,religion,speech,press,assembly,and petition. Freedoms come first
What is the 2nd amendment?
The right to bear arms. (two) bear arms
What is the 3rd amendment?
Prohibits soldiers from quartering in private homes without getting consent. 3 soldiers are not to be housed (3rd amendment)
What is the 4th amendment?
Protects people’s right to privacy, prohibits unreasonable searches. Government going (four) a search
What is the 5th amendment?
No person punished twice for the same crime, prohibits being a witness against yourself. I plead the 5th.
What is the 6th amendment?
Rights of accused in criminal cases, including legal representation and a fair speedy trial.
What is the 7th amendment?
Guarantees a trial by jury. Trial by (7 letters)
What is the 8th amednment?
Ensures punishments for crimes are not cruel and excessive. (E)xcessive=(E)ight
What is the 9th amendment?
People retain rights not listed in the constitution. Peoples rights come first.
What is the 10th amendment?
Power is not given to the federal government, it is given to the states. State rights come 2nd
What is the 11th amendment?
Individual can not sue a state in federal courts
What is the 12th amendment?
Repeals article 2, section 1 of the constitution
What is the 13th amendment?
Abolished slavery
What is the 14th amendment?
All persons born naturalized in the united states enjoy full rights.
What is the 15th amendment?
Protects the rights of Americans to vote in elections no matter there skin color,creed, or race
