Whats the first amendment?
Freedom of expression,religion,speech,press,assembly,and petition
Whats the second amendment?
Protects the rights of individual citizens to keep and bear arms. Establishes a militia that is necessary for a free state.
Whats the third amendment?
Prohibits soldiers from temporarily residing in private homes during peacetime without getting the permission and consent of the owner.
Whats the fourth amendment?
Protects people right to privacy prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures by the government.
Whats the fifth amendment?
No person tried without the grand jury indictment or punished twice for the same offense. Prohibits being a witness against your self and guarantees “due process of law.”
Whats the sixth amendment?
Rights of accused in criminal cases,including legal representation and a fair and speedy trial.
Whats the seventh amendment?
Guarantees a trial by jury.
Whats the eighth amendment?
Insures that punishments for crimes are not excessive,cruel,or unusual.
Whats the ninth amendment?
People retain rights not listed in the United States Constitution.
Whats the tenth amendment?
Power not given to the federal government is given to the people or the states.(very important for state government)

Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

All persons born or naturalized in the United States
Whats the 15th?
granted African American men the right to vote.
Whats the 16th?
grants Congress the authority to issue an income tax without having to determine it based on population.

allowing voters to cast direct votes for U.S. senators
