달다 auxiliary verb
1. (Usually written with the verb conjunction ending ‘-어’ as ‘-어 달라’ or ‘-어 다오’) To demand that an action be performed as indicated by the previous word.
그런데 원래 수업하기로 한 시간에 못 올 것 같아서 수업을 한시간 연기해달라고 부탁했어요.
But I didn’t think I could make it at the hour I was originally going to teach, so I asked to postpone the class by an hour.
