   - Uni-male, multi-female (polygyny) Langurs, mountain gorillas, Non-resident males may form “bachelor groups”
   - Multi-male/multi-female (polygynandry): Vervets, macaques Special case: fission-fusion (spider monkeys, chimpanzees)
