What are Electromagnetic Waves?

Energy is emitted continuously from any source in the form of waves and these waves have two components. One is electric field and the other is magnetic field. Both of these components are perpendicular to each other as well as to the direction of propagation. Such waves are known as EM Waves or EM Radiations.
