What is a map key
Key helps make sense of the map. If there are colors/shades, the key will tell you what they mean.
What’s the difference between a map scale and a map compass? 
A compass will help you show you what direction is north east south and west.
A map scale will help you determine distance. If you take a ruler and measure how long that line is on the map, then you can use that ruler measurement to determine how far apart places are on the map. 
What do climate maps show?
They show the weather in a certain area/region.
What do physical map show?
These maps show the physical features of an area
What do political map show?
Political maps show the national and state boundaries, capitals, and major cities.
What do economic/resource maps show? 
Economic resource maps show the types of economic activity, or natural resources that exist in a given area. these maps use symbols to show the location of resources.

What do roadmap show?
Road maps show major highways, roads airport, railroad track, cities, and other points of interest in an area.
What do topographic show? 
Topographic maps are similar to physical maps in that they show the geographical features of an area, however topographic maps focus on a much smaller area with more detail. Lines on a topographic map that are close together show steep terrain.
