2.2.1 Series and parallel circuits

What happens to current, resistance, voltage to components connected in series?

A
  • there is the same current through each component
  • the total voltage of the power supply is shared between components

2.2.1 Series and parallel circuits

What happens to current, resistance, voltage in components connected in parallel?

A
  • the total current throughout the whole circuit is the sum of currents through the separate components.
  • the voltage accross each component is the same
  • the total resistance of the two resistors is less than the resistance of the smallest (individual) resistor.
