Interactions between biological, psychological, and social factors examine how these aspects play a role in topics ranging from human development to health and disease.
What is ethnocentrism?
The attitude that one’s own group, ethnicity, or nationality is superior to others.
What is culture bound syndrome?
It is a broad spectrum that encompasses certain behavioural, affective and cognitive manifestations seen in specific cultures. These manifestations are abnormal from the usual behaviour of individuals of that culture and are a reason for distress/comfort.
What is an example of a psychological factor?
Mental Health, Physical Health, Social Skills.
What is an example of a biological factor?
Genetic predisposition, medication, chemical imbalance.
What is an example of a social factor?
Peers, family circumstances, family relationships.
