Before - Very restricted, very traditional family lives, low class women usually settle for bad paying jobs. During - Given the right to vote in 1920, took over men's jobs when they went to war, gained a sense of independence. After - More women lived on their own, some dressed differently and behaved differently, divorce rate doubled, more sex.
