Requirements are generated during the requirements engineering process and serves as a contract between the development team and customer therefore must not contain technical technology

SHOULD for desirable requirements
- Don’t make assumptions on the readers knowledge
- Involve as many stakeholders as possible
- Avoid making the requirements as ambiguous
