What does the term fossil fuel mean
Decomposing of flora and forna from the carnivourus period
What is diffusion
The process of particals moving from high concentration to low concentration
What are the similaties between animal and plant cells
Similarties:
A membrane-bound nucleus, which contains the DNA.
A plasma membrane or cell membrane.
Cytoplasm in which other organelles are suspended.
Nucleolus.
Endoplasmic reticulum (ER)
Ribosomes.
Mitochondrion.
Golgi bodies or Golgi apparatus.
eukaryotic cells
What are the diffrences between animal and plant cells
Animal cells have centrioles, centrosomes (discussed under the cytoskeleton), and lysosomes, whereas plant cells do not.
Plant cells have a cell wall, chloroplasts, plasmodesmata, and plastids used for storage, and a large central vacuole, whereas animal cells do not.
What type of cell doesnt conatin a nucleus
Prokaryoties, red blood cells
Function of cell membrane
multilayered permibale barrier that hold the organells inside the cell.
Function of cytoplasm
the liquid inside the cell holding the orgaelle in place. Also glueing one molecule to another
function of vacuole
membrane bound cell organelle that is generally small and helps hide away waste products
function of chloroplasts
provides plants energy via photo synthesis
photosynthesis equation
light
carbon dioxide+water=glucose+oxygen
function of mitochondria
double membrane bound organelle that is the powerhouse of the cell. converts food into energy via respiration
