Q

What are the diffrences between animal and plant cells

A

Animal cells have centrioles, centrosomes (discussed under the cytoskeleton), and lysosomes, whereas plant cells do not.
Plant cells have a cell wall, chloroplasts, plasmodesmata, and plastids used for storage, and a large central vacuole, whereas animal cells do not.

function of the nucleus

A

double membrane organelle that stores DNA tightly woven arund ground protein

23
Q

Function of the nucleolus

A

non membraned dense bundle of DNA and RNA producing and assembling the cells ribosomes

24
Q

What is DNA

A

a molecule that contains the genetic code that is unique to every individual.

25

What is RNA

A

One of two types of nucleic acid made by cells

26
Q

Rough endoplasmic reticulum function

A

large membraneous organelle capabel of producing folding and disbuting and qaulity of proetin

27
Q

nucleare membrane function

A

acts as a barrier that seperates the nucleus DNA from the cytoplasm. it is made from phospholid bilayers

28
Q

Smooth endoplasmic reticulum function

A

large membrane organelle which lacks ribosomes. helps with metabolism steriod and hormone control
