Q

Limitation:
Alternate flap duty cycle limit.

A

One complete cycle, then 5 minutes off.
One complete cycle is movement from 0 to 15 degrees and then back to 0. The alternate flap extension switch must be in the OFF position for 15 seconds before reversing the direction of flap movement.

Q

Limitation: Speed Brakes

A

-In flight, do not extend speedbrakes beyond the flight detent.
-Do not use speedbrakes in flight below 1000 ft AGL.
-Do not use speedbrakes with greater than flaps 10.
-700W-Do not operate the aircraft at speeds in excess of 320 kts at weights over 143,000 lb if the speedbrake wing load alleviation system is inop.

17
Q

Limitation: Max Fuel Tank Temp

A

49°C

18
Q

Limitation: Min Fuel Tank Temp

A

-37°C

19
Q

Limitation: Fuel Distribution

A

Main tanks must be full if center tank quantity is greater than 1000 pounds.
-1000 pounds may be retained in the center tank provided the effects of balance have been considered.
-(NG) Center tank fuel pumps must be turned ON for takeoff with more than 1000 pounds of fuel in center tank.
-(MAX) Center tank fuel pumps must be ON for all operations with more than 1000 lb of fuel in the center tank.
(some MEL items can override this limitation)

20
Q

Limitation: Ground operation - FUEL

A

For ground operation, center tank fuel pump switches must not be positioned to ON unless the center tank fuel quantity exceeds 1000 lbs, except when defueling or transferring fuel.
Note: Fuel may be transferred from tank to tank or the aircraft may be defueled with passengers on onboard, provided the fuel quantity in the tank from which fuel is being taken is maintained at not less than 2000 lbs. Deplane all passengers and non essential crew members when defueling a tank or transferring fuel quantity below 2000 lbs until the process has been completed and the respective fuel boost pumps are turned off.

21
Q

Limitation: Fuel Tank Pumps

A

Corresponding center tank fuel pump switch must be positioned to OFF when a center tank LOW PRESSURE light illuminates.
-When established in level flight attitude, both center tank pump switches should be positioned ON again if the center tank contains usable fuel.
-If the center tank is empty, both center tank fuel pump switches must be positioned OFF when the first centre tank fuel pump LOW PRESSURE light illuminates.
-Center tank fuel pumps must not be ON unless personnel are available on the flight deck to monitor the low pressure lights.
-Flight deck crews must not reset tripped fuel quantity indicator, fuel pump, or fuel pump control circuit breakers.

22
Q

Limitation: Cargo Bay Fire Supression

A

Aircraft must land within 60 minutes (Non ETOPS) or 180 minutes (ETOPS) of initial discharge of the fire suppression system.

23
Q

Limitation: TCAS

A

-Pilots are authorized to deviate from ATC clearance to the extent necessary to comply with TCAS 2 Resolution Advisory (RA).
-Flight crews must immediately respond to TCAS information (both TA and RA) by using TCAS(Traffic avoidance) guidelines located in QRH Maneuvers Chapter.

24
Q

Limitation: Circuit Breakers

A

The in-flight reset of a tripped circuit breaker should only be accomplished when directed by the QRH. Allow approximately 2 minutes for cooling before resetting.
-Reseting a tripped circuit breaker other than when directed by QRH must be done as follows:
A tripped circuit breaker may only be reset once.
Allow approximately 2 minutes for cooling before resetting. An in-flight reset should only be accomplished if, in the judgement of the Captain, regaining use of that system is critical to the safe conduct of flight.

25
Q

Immediate Action: Cabin Altitude Warning or Rapid Depressurization

A
  1. Don oxygen masks and set regulators 100%.
  2. Establish Crew communications.
26
Q

Immediate Action: Apu Fire

A
  1. APU Fire switch - Confirm- Pull, rotate to the stop, and hold for 1 second.
  2. APU switch - OFF
27
Q

Immediate Action: Aborted Engine Start

A
  1. Engine start lever (affected engine) - Cutoff
28
Q

Immediate Action: Runaway Stabilizer

A
  1. Control column - Hold Firmly
  2. Autopilot (if engaged) - Disengage
  3. Autothrottle (if engaged) - Disengage
  4. Control column and thrust levers - Control aircraft pitch attitude and airspeed
  5. Main Electric Stabilizer trim - Reduce Control column forces
  6. IF the runaway STOPS after the autopilot is disengaged: Do not re-engage the autopilot or auto throttle.
    **
  7. IF the runaway CONTINUES after the autopilot is disengaged:
Stab Trim cutout switches(BOTH) - Cutout
    IF the runaway CONTINUES
Stabilizer trim wheel - Grasp and hold.
29
Q

Immediate Action: Airspeed Unreliable

A
  1. Autopilot (if engaged) - Disengage
  2. Autothrottle (if engaged) - Disengage
  3. F/D switches (both) - OFF
  4. Set the following gear up pitch attitude and thrust:
    -Flaps extended - 10° and 80% N1
    -Flaps up - 4° and 75% N1
