How does Department of Health Act relate to public health?
Public health surveillance activities mandated under the Department of Health Act, the Public Health Agency of Canada Act, and the Statistics Act.
The Department of Health Act gives the Minister of Health “the power, subject to the Statistics Act, to collect, analyze, interpret, publish and distribute information related to public health.”
