Relfexive verb formulas?

  • without auxilary: the pronoun is located before the conjugated verb
  • with auxilary: the pronoun is located before the auxialry or attached to the end of the impersonal tense (infinitive, gerrund, but not participle)

Fórmula del verbo reflexivo

  • Sin auxiliar: el pronombre se localiza en tes del verbo conjugado.
    (ex. Me baño)
  • Con auxiliar: el pronombre reflexivo se localiza antes del auxiliar o añadido al fin del tiempo impersonal (infinitivo, gerundio; no el participio)
    ex. 1 Me quiero bañar / quiero bañarme
    ex. 2 Él te está hablando / él está hablándote
    ex. 3 Me he comido carne / he comidome carne

  1. Some have the same meaning but applied differently
    Bañar / bañarse
  2. Some verbs change meaning
    Acordar vs. acordarse
    Ir vs. irse
    Despedir vs. despedirse
  3. Some verbs won’t change at all
    Comer = comerse
    Salir = salirse
  4. Some only exist in the reflexive form
    Gustarse
    Equivocarse
    Suicidarse
