- Jo Swanson (Lib Dem) had a negative image as she appeared to lack sincerity as she pledged to repeal article 50
- Nicola Sturgeon had a positive image in Scotland

the campaign methods
- Boris was absent for much of the campaign, but he did appear in a head-to-head debate with Corbyn
- Corbyn had a solid campaign with speeches etc but failed to gain the same amount of support he did in 2017
- social media attack ads were more prevalent in this campaign
political issues

- during the campaign, floods hit parts of England and Johnson was criticised for not declaring it as an emergency

trends in region for 2019 election
- conservatives dominated rural and southern England , and made some gains in Wales
- SNP gained seats in Scotland to continue to dominate there

- conservatives won across all social classes
- conservatives won a higher proportion of votes from C2 and DE classes as they did with AB and C1 groups

- there was a small gap between 18-24 year olds, with 65% voting labour and 46% of men voting labour
- overall, there was only a slight female bias towards labour
